Are you looking for a cat that does not require constant grooming?

Do you want a cat that doesn't shed a lot?

Are you looking for a cat that can be trained easily and can be leash trained for walks?

How about a cat that is easy going with children and other pets?

Do you want an indoor cat that is quiet?

If you answered YES to many of the above questions, then the Ragdoll breed is one you want to consider.

On the other hand....

The Ragdoll breed is NOT for you if you answer YES to any of the following questions:

Are you looking for an outdoor cat?

Do you expect to leave your cat alone for long periods of time during the day?

Is a proud cat that is independent and can take care of itself the type you are looking for?

Are you looking for a mouser cat?

Do you want a cat that is very active and playful?

Is a “talkative” cat what you are looking for?

Do you want time alone from your cat when you are home?

NOTE: Ragdoll cats are known for following their people around the house, keeping them company all the time (even keeping you company while you're in the bathroom)
If you don't want your cat to keep you company every minute possible, then the Ragdoll breed is NOT for you.
